Ginny Swanson is a singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer who found her love of writing music during the pandemic. She has sung everything from opera to 80s rock, and is memorable as a powerhouse performer of vocal versatility, commanding stage presence, and theatricality. Her debut single 'Potions,' is two years in the making. She draws inspiration from artists like Ariana Grande, Alanis Morisette, Sammy Rae, Yebba, and Billie Eilish. ‘Potions’ is a unique blend of pop, funk/soul, jazz, and rock, and is a reflective and bittersweet journey through the tumultuous ending of a toxic and abusive relationship. Writing it was a cathartic experience; the lyrics are deeply personal, and relatable to any woman who has been in a similar situation. The instrumentation boasts a darker, bass-driven groove and ethereal harmonies. She finds inspiration from love, heartbreak, fantasies, and female empowerment. She hopes to write not only deeper, more emotionally personal music, but also, music that people can groove and sing along to. She loves entertaining crowds and personalizing their experience.
